I did not have time to test it. My first thought was "Finally our users decided to write some lib" hehe.yo2lio wrote:what is yours opinion about StringsLib ??
Thanks, zristic wrote:We can assist you with this, especially with the setup. There are freeware tools for making setup programs and I can show you how you can use them to read registry keys for determining where a compiler is installed.
What do you mean ? I don't understand this !srdjan wrote: ... if you want me to consider providing you the correct version of the strings library.
He, he, you treat us like we were some commercial group or wanted to advertise ourselves and not just to share our work. All we offer is goodwill. Nobody's forced to use the replacement.zristic wrote:What I can suggest you is to prepare yourself for a long term support of the library, including some good looking, html featured help with tons of examples.
Maybe a compromise? You add a 'patch' path and we prepare an installer? mE would then avoid problems with users that deleted wrong lib files. Also, I would suggest you to make a setup program which will save users from copying MCLs manually to where the compilers are installed.
No, you got it wrong. What I wrote above is the only way to make users like your library, I speak that from my experience. No matter how good it is, how optimized it is, if you do not serve it on a plate then you lost the game in the 90th minute.janni wrote:He, he, you treat us like we were some commercial group or wanted to advertise ourselves and not just to share our work. No, out of question. Try to separate your work from ours, it is in our common interest. Just have a look at Borland VCL and third party components and you will understand why it is so.Maybe a compromise?
