microSuite firmware update problem

Hi all,
Not having used my Easypic V7 for well over 2 years I recently attempted to put it back into use for a project I intend to put together.
The microProg Suite for Pic required an update and whilst updating it hung.
I now appear to be stuck in an error state and I do not know how to proceed to get myself out of the problem.
Any help or advice would be appreciated.

Many thanks for your reply.
Here is a summary of what happens when I run MicroProg Suite For Pic

On starting MicroProg Suite For Pic I have Error Message 1.
Click OK then gives me Error Message 2
Click OK takes me to Screen1 but I cannot change MCU Family although I can select MCU from the MCU dropdown

If you go to USB -> Show devices, what happens ?

Can you go to USB -> Firmware update ?
