Pic 10(L)F320/322 support (14 bit Pic Core processor)

The pic 10 series are not supported, probably because they have a 12 bit core with a different insruction set.
However the Pic10F320/322 have a 14 bit core, with the same instruction set as the other 14 bit Pic12F and Pic16F chips.
Adding these chips is, i think, just a matter of adding the definition files.
I don't know why Microchip didn't nam it Pic12F....., not for the instruction set, probably only beacause of its low pin-count.

Is it possible to include these chips in the next release of Micropascal for Pic ?
(possible also MicroC and MicroBasic)

This very low pincount chip is very usefull for simple applications i.e. as a simple DCC Decoder in miniature trains,
With 4 I/O pins (1 read only, 3 I/O) and a small SOT Package it will fit on the smallest PCB's, as needed in this application.

Hello,

once the microcontrollers gets supported we cover all the three compiler (mikroC, mikroPascal and mikroBasic).

I will forward your request to our developers. It can be expected to be supported in the next official release of the compilers.

Thank you for the suggestion.

Kind regards,
Biljana

In the latest versionn of the Pic compilers the Pic10F320/322 is still not supported.
This is an enhanced 14-bit core processor, so why is it still not added ?

Hello,

I have forwarded this request to our development team.

Since we were wrapping up the update for the new Site License system, I believe the release will be soon, with the new MCUs added to the list of the supported devices.

Thank you for the patience.

Best regards,
Biljana

This and other very small chip is more important, as they seems. I realise few application on PIC10F in language JAL2 and assembler. But there would be awesome to write this in mikroPascal. Why? Comprehensive code able address wide sort of things: DC/DC converting, infrared pilot sender and receiver, making power switches for larger application, converting sensors to bus spi and i2c, buffering for one or two signals etc... High level language enable very speedy move elements of project to fully resolved corner. And released memory - in head :)
There are some improvements when we realise this in small controllers, which not occupied large pcb area. I.e. Only this chip is exposed to larger voltage, application is partitioned on small parts (ever wise in complicated project) easier for debugging.
There is a lot of causes in which small chip is better chip.
I use mikroPascal compiles as productive translator for final product.
Wrote all in one language is my dream :)

Hi @Bertold

I agree with you.
Thank you for this proposal, I will pass this to our developers.

It's been a few years since this was first submitted to the developers, is the PIC10F320/322 on the radar to be added yet?

Hi,

I see that this micro controller has been requested many times according to our request log.
Unfortunately i do not know the reason why it was not supported to this day.

I will once again send a request to our developers for consideration.

Sorry for the inconvenience.

Best Regards,
