A useful (and logical) addition to the C_type library would be ishex, to tell if a character is a valid hexadecimal character (i.e. 0-9 or A-F).
If you know what you're doing, you're not learning anything.

Edit:
There is a isxdigit routine already in the compilers, which functions in the same way. :)
