L meter click

Hi,
I have no success with the L Meter Click testing.
I've compiled OK the example code (from 1554902647_l_meter_click_mikroc_pic.mpkg), but running the code in EasyPIC v7 board I only get " Frequency is out of range !!! ".
Any help or suggestion?

Hi Ivan,
I'm not using resistor but inductor(L Meter). I've tried some values like 0.33uH, 15uH and 1000uH (I don't know the meter operating range!). The values showed do not make sense!
I tried to adapt the code to PIC18F45K22, but I afraid there something wrong (timer parameters, clock and so on).
Thee example (*.h ,*.c and Mikrobus) is very specific to PIC18F87K22 and maybe that is the point.

Hi,

I have connected the L meter to the same board and MCU as you are using and i have noticed a couple of things.

1) I only get the "Frequency is out of range !!!" message if the inductor is not connected to the L Meter click properly, you can see if it connected correctly by looking at the R0 LED, it will blink when there nothing connected to the L Meter click but it will stay turned on if there is something connected to the L Meter click.

2) The less the Inductance the less the accuracy of the L Meter click.

So if you are getting "Frequency is out of range !!!" then make sure you connected everything correctly, and if you are getting weird results then perhaps the inductance is too low on your inductor.

Ok, what is the measuring range of the meter?

Unfortunately i do not have that information, you can try to take a look into the datasheet of the module the L meter click uses:

But if you want more information on the SLCS007K module, then i suggest contacting Texas instruments and asking them what would be the measuring range of the SLCS007K module.
