Hi everyone,
I'm having another question. If i use 3 pin Bi color LEDs do I have to switch color of them by separate MCP23S17 IC pins or is there any other method to do so. If I used separate PIN for this my circuit will be bulky
Any Help.
Thanks
Nayantha.

Re: Drive Large Number of LEDs
If you need 3 states of your led: color1, color2, off, you will always need 2 bit to drive it.

Re: Drive Large Number of LEDs
hi everyone,
Thanks for everything. I'm facing another trouble
How to communicate with large number of devices with a master PC.
what are the benefits of such things in wireless and wired mode?
Also What are the available methods for such things.
I have no idea in communicating with large number of devices once. how to overcome the data loss?
Can I trust the wireless devices?
Also do the PIC18f45k22 supports PICkit2
Also do anyone know a pic device that supports ps2 in PIC18f45k22 series
Thank you

I think this can only be answered in a meaningful way, by writing a whole book here.nayantha88 wrote:How to communicate with large number of devices with a master PC.

Many books exist, some beginner, some advanced, most are not very expensive.nayantha88 wrote: I have no idea in communicating with large number of devices once.

Re: Drive Large Number of LEDs
Can you name a book please
Re: Drive Large Number of LEDs
Yes I can, but to be sure it could be fitted for you, I think more has to be known about your existing knowledge.
In contrast to your first questions, your last questions about communications seem like scratching a lot on the surface.
What's your profile? Developer or 'solution buyer' ? What do you want? Who will proceed and what's the budget?
A good starting point, I personally think, Is to study the OSI model, and then studying it in detail with 1 protocol of choice. This gives you detailed insight in the different levels, and even when you discover a new protocol, you have the skill to divide the 'problem' in multiple 'solutions', and ask more detailed specific questions.
Maybe this is way too difficult for you, or maybe you already play with that, eyes closed, for +15 years. I don't know.

you mean usb barcode scanner?nayantha88 wrote:I wanna know one other thing also. What is the modern trend of barcode scanners?
Are there still ps2 barcode scanners available?
Because in my project there will be a barcode scanner in every unit. So if ps2 scanners are rare i will fail the project. according to ebay, alla are available in usb. So if i plug a usb to ps2 converter will it be possible?
Thank you
