new beta 4.8

I used (till now) V2.10 because I didn't get my old projects to run since V4.0 beta. They compiled but didn't work. I thought it would take too much time to analyse the probs, so better go on with V2.10. But now I tested V4.8 beta. And the solution was so simple: make some variables volatile. My projects all work. A small step for the other users - a big for me: V2.10 --> V4.8.
First impression: compiling and linking times are more than twice as long! But is really good invested time! There are so many improvements. Some look small: bits and pointers - but are great. And the code is (even with the volatile word, when i steel some chance of optimization) about 20% shorter and faster! I am really impressed.
