USART monitor logging to file

I believe it is an undesired feature that USART monitor can't create the file it should be logging to.
I haven't been able to get it start logging to a non existing file - in my world it should just create it if the path given is valid.

I can't figure out how to add images her but you can see what I am talking about by looking at the 2 images in https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/653 ... ctures.zip
The one with the active capture button is when the file is already created.

And by the way 9 out of 10 times the utility crashes if it is connected when closing it. A minor detail but any way.

Unfortunately it is not possible at this moment to make file or to log data in the non existing file.

I will forward this suggestion to our development team.
