PWM16bits for ATMEGA1284

Hi,
I have been worked with the ATmega1284 because this have the 20MHz capability [for use 18.432MHz crystal] BUT the PWM16bits doesn't work in this micro. I did some test compiling the same code for to see if my program work and it works! but no in the ATmega1284.
