setting configuration bits

#1 Post by JUH » 19 May 2005 11:43

It would be nice if the corresponding HEX-Word (for example 3F31) is also reported by setting the configuration bits.
Furthermore the setting of the configuration bits should be also possible by entering the corresponding HEX-Word directly.
Later on it's sometimes much easier to remember a simple HEX-Word you have to type in than a numerous of tick boxes you must know which of them
must be ticked and which must be left unticked. This is an idea for the PICflash programmer too.
Also in PICflash programmer a corresponding checksum for the code is often helpful. In all other programmer I know is that a common practice.

I would like to see a configuration option ala MPLAB (microchips)...its fast to get a good look at things, nothing is left unchecked (confusing) and its rather practical.
