Surpport for DS89C4xx series

Hi All,

DS89C4xx series Ultra-High-Speed Flash Microcontrollers are available via the Maxim-ic. They say that, they can replaced with old 8051 series.

But, since they are single cycle instruction execution, cannot use traditional 8051 compilers. Specially, for inbuilt delay routines.

It is better, if you can extend 8051 compiler for this new series..

Thanks

Thank you for your suggestion. Our 8051 compilers currently don't support Maxim-ic microcontrollers. We might consider supporting them in the future.

I agree - I would also like to see support for the Maxim microcontrollers... They are among the most powerful direct-replacement options available.
