Big8051 loading programs on board

Hello everybody!

I have a BIG8051 Development board with a c8051f040 microcontroller on it. I tried to use the code examples provided on the website so I can get comfortable with the board and IDE(for IDE i'm using MikroC Pro for 8051 version 3.6).

After I compile, I want to load the hex file. But this is where I encounter a problem. The flash utility provided with the IDE doesn't have on the list any Silabs microcontroller, only Atmel.
I tried to use other flash programmer from Silabs. That software can identify the board, but when it verifies the hex file, return a failed message.

I want to know if I can add c8051f040 on flash utility provided with MikroC, or how can i fix those errors when i load hex file with silabs tool.

Hi,

The 8051Flash utility doesn't support this MCU, you should consider using SiLabs utility for this.
