how to use UNITS

a basic question, when declaring the use of a unit in your
code, where do i put the actual "unit" so my program can access the functions in the unit.
do i put it in my project directory or is there a dedicated directory somewhere in mikropascal tree
the code should sit?

i found a unit on the forum and, because i didnt know how to use it i just copied the code
i wanted form the unit into my actual program.
