Necto not finding my combination of Compiler + Board + MCU

#1 Post by MickeyReilley » 02 Oct 2022 23:37

I'm trying to get Necto to create a "setup" for my combination of compiler & board & MCU, but it's not there. I have the following combination of things:

Compiler: mikroC AI for dsPIC
Board: Mikromedia 7 Capacitive FPI with bezel
MCU: PIC24EP512GU814

Is this an invalid combination of things? Or is this configuration not yet supported in Necto? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hello Mickey,

I think it is a combination that is not (yet) implemented.

The mikromedia 7 board you mentioned has a MCU socket on the back. Basically a lot of MCUs will fit in this socket.
According to my understanding currently only PIC32 MCU boards are supported.

If you select microC AI for PIC32, you will see the mikromedia 7 board you are using and on the next screen you can select some of the SIBRIAN PIC32 MCU boards.
Kind regards
Frank

Hi,

mikroC AI for dsPIC currently doesn't support mikroSDK, so you are unable to choose this combination.

We are doing our best to support this as soon as possible.

Filip.

Thank you for the detailed replies!

I presume that to get my combination of board and MCU working then, I need to use "mikroC PRO for dsPIC/PIC24"?

I'm not clear on the role of the mikroSDK...

Hi,

The mikroSDK is a software framework that enables easy integration of the peripheral boards and MCUs/development system, you may see a detailed explanation here :
