Support for ATMega 644P

#1 Post by Sascha » 19 Jun 2008 19:39

Hi,

the latest programmer don't support the Mega 644P? Getting all the time the error "Can not sync with processor" or similar. I setup a Mega644 in the programmer... Are there differents to the 644P? When the 644P will supported?

Hello,

it's really frustating with mE... I see everyday the questions of the Pic Forum are answered, but still no one cares about AVR questions... What about the promises the future will be better for AVR?? Just a lie, to pull some potentially customers the money of the wallet??!

Come on guys - act like a man - not like a crook and do your job!

Hi,
Mikropascal supports the Mega644 but the Mikroe Boards not!
I asked at Jan 12, 2008 in this post:
http://www.mikroe.com/forum/viewtopic.p ... =atmega644

...but there ist now answer from Mikroe until today.

I crated my own Board and everything is fine.

I also confirm that I cannot program a ATMEGA 644P on the EASY AVR4 Board with the AVRFLASH 2.10

If I ignore the warning that the type is not correct, and program anyway, it does not work.

Hi,

There is difference in signature bytes for mention MCU's.
And both of them will be supported in coming releases of AVRFlash2.

Hi,

will the problem with unwanted programming of Fuse and Lock bits also be fixed?

See: http://www.mikroe.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=10291

This is open since June, 2007 (AVRFlash 2.09) and was still not fixed in 2.10.

Regards
Johannes

AVRFLASH 2.11a looks pretty good for MEGA644P.
Check it out - I got it together with the new PASCAL PRO for AVR.
