NECTO and Mini-M4 STM32

#1 Post by warm38 » 18 Oct 2022 12:57

I just downloaded NECTO Studio (2.2.0) and tried to build my first project using the Mini-M4 STM32, but that board is not listed under "boards". I tried "generic ARM", but I'm not sure of the internals of the board to do a hardware setup. I purchased 3 Mini-M4 STM32 boards 2 years ago for $20 each, and now they are $79 and they are not supported? Why not?
How do I get the hardware set up for the STM32F415RE? I see an external 16 MHz Xtal, but what are all those "settings" that are not listed since the board is not supported? I cant even get on first base without any "settings".
And then there is the programmer. It wont scan and find ANY boards, not even a Nucleo-64 with a STM32F401 on COM22. I got it to that point with the Mini-M4 STM32 and it would not find that board, which is understandable since it is not supported.

Hi,

Your Board is supported, you just need to choose Generic Board when making your Setup. Also STM32F415RG is supported by Necto and all the configurations are already set.

As for STM32F415RE it doesn't seem to be supported by Necto with the MikroSDK or the Legacy SDK.

Regards,

Ivan.
