Riverdi Display with Clicker2 for STM32

#1 Post by adamsims » 20 Apr 2021 19:00

I'm new to MicroE and lower level programming, so bear with me here. I'm also not sure if this would be better in the VTFT board, but here we go:

Hardware:
Clicker 2 for STM32
Riverdi Click
Riverdi Display 3.5" Cap
Analog MUX Click (not really relevant)

I'm attempting to get a Riverdi display working with my Clicker 2, but I'm having issues setting the software up so they can talk to each other. The analog MUX click has a library that I can use, so I've gotten that to work.
1. Is there something similar for the Riverdi Click?
2. If not, how should I go about this? Basically, how do I tell it that it's in mikroBUS slot 2 and set it up so I can use the VTFT library and such?

Thanks!

Hello,

Could you please clarify which compiler exactly you are using, just to be sure?

I'm using mikroC AI for ARM with Necto Studio. Sorry if that doesn't answer your question.

Thanks!

Hello,

Unfortunately, FT8xx graphic controllers (found on Riverdi displays) are not supported in NECTO Designer yet. They will be added sometime in the future, however, for now we do not have any estimates on when that will be.
I apologize for the inconvenience.

Well that's awkward, the person I was speaking to before seemed to think it would work...

What types of displays do you support on NECTO Studio?

Thanks!

Hello,

For now, only SSD1963 controller is supported via parallel interface, the chip we use on our 8th gen displays such as these:

etc...
