v2.2.0 on Mac - Package Manager Does Not Load

#1 Post by BillBucket » 06 Oct 2022 17:39

I'm using v2.2.0 of NECTO Studio on Mac and the package manager can not find any packages. No matter how I filter or search all I get is a constantly spinning loading icon (I let it spin for hours). Is this an issue with v2.2.0 on Mac or something else? How can I search for and install packages using the package manager?

It does not work still. I'm able to load other external resources such as Planet Debug or help webpage, but the Package Manager still does not load any results. Are the Package Manager resources accessed through a different port?

I have tried lowering firewalls, using three different computers (two PC and one Mac), and two different sources of internet (cable and mobile hotspot) and still cannot load any packages. This leads me to believe there is an issue with credentials. Is there something else to try on the network side? Is there a web portal I can try to make sure credentials are working?

Hi,

Can you access LibStock website from the built-in browser ? Just type www.libstock.com address and try to open it.

Also try opening the https://search-mikroe-eotds45vmgevl75dl ... h/template page and send me the error if you get one (should be in JSON-like form).

Regards,
Filip.

I am able to open the libstock URL. The AWS link does not work, apparently due the access policy on the server:
{"Message":"User: anonymous is not authorized to perform: es:ESHttpGet"}

Here's a relevant page from AWS support discussing it - https://aws.amazon.com/premiumsupport/k ... pensearch/

It's worth noting that v2.2.0 was my first install and experience with this IDE for all the computers I've installed it on while trying to root cause this issue. So perhaps this wouldn't be an issue for people who are not starting from a fresh install, but I don't know the details of how this works, so just speculation on my part.

Hi,

Can you please open a ticket on our HelpDesk regarding this issue ? It seems that the issue is related to the Amazon services, so I will need some sensitive information form you.

Regards,
Filip.

As of today this has started working. No changes on my part, so I'm not sure how it resolved.

Hello,

Issue was resolved by our IT team. It was a problem with Amazon server settings. Your IP address range was not included in access policy settings.

Thank you for your feedback, and sorry for any inconvenience this has caused.
