CODEGRIP Suite full of bugs on Linux kernel 6.5.0

#1 Post by Uglješa Lukešević » 05 Jan 2024 07:48

Hi! I have very big problem, and it is that CODEGRIP Suite always fails. Whenever I launch it, without CODEGRIP plugged in, it launches properly, and when I plug it in, then it every time crashes, when clicked on SCAN DEVICES button or start it up when CODEGRIP is plugged in. However, that problem does not happen on Windows. On Windows, everything normally works, but my main machine is Linux (6.5.0 kernel Ubuntu mantic), and when I copy files via USB to write it to MCU, I lose a lot of time. I already tried re-installing CODEGRIP, my user is in dialout group, and I even tried running CODEGRIP Suite from superuser, but nothing works. This problem is happening from time that NECTO Studio 3.0 released, when I got CODEGRIP. This is log that suite outputs:

Code: Select all

QStandardPaths: XDG_RUNTIME_DIR not set, defaulting to '/tmp/runtime-root'
QFileSystemWatcher::addPath: path is empty
libpng warning: iCCP: known incorrect sRGB profile
QObject::connect(QObject, UtilsDialogFrame): invalid null parameter
CODEGRIPSuite: ../../libusb/os/threads_posix.h:46: usbi_mutex_lock: Assertion `pthread_mutex_lock(mutex) == 0' failed.
Aborted
MikroE, please fix this problem!

Hi,

Can you tell me what version of CODEGRIP suite you are using?

Have you tried using other USB ports on your Linux device?

Can you read the FW version in the CODEGRIP on your Windows device?

Regards,

Ivan.
