EasyPIC v7a and stand-alone codegrip for PIC programmer just arrived in the post.
When I run codegrip utility with either device connected, "about" shows firmware version 1.5.1 is installed.
Codegrip software says that an upgrade is available, version 1.5.0
Should I upgrade (downgrade?) or leave my devices alone?
My main interest is in programming PIC18F47Q10, and possibly PIC18F47Q43.
Any advice and/or clarification will be much appreciated.
Thanks

Re: Should I upgrade?
Hi,
Are you referring to the CODEGRIP Suite of firmware version ?
Can you attach screenshot for clarification please ?

Filip.

Re: Should I upgrade?
Light bulb moment:-
Help - about gives codegrip version 1.5.1
Upgrade message shows firmware availability 1.5.0
Starting the firmware upgrade reveals current firmware is 1.4.0.
I am indeed confusing codegrip version with firmware version.
Sorry for wasting your time
I will go ahead and upgrade firmware 1.4.0 to 1.5.0
Thanks filip for the hint that caused me to understand

Re: Should I upgrade?
Hey - and as a bonus.... upgrade to codegrip firmware 1.5.0 now allows me to write hex files to PIC18F47Q10, where I could not before.
Thanks filip
