The window of CODEGRIP Suite is too small
Hello,
I'm know trying to use an EasyPIC v8
So I first installed CODEGRIP Suite with the last update.
My screen is 4096 x 2160 pixels / 55' diagonal.
When I launch CODEGRIP Suite, the window is extremely small.
It is so small that it is absolutely unusable
How is it posssible to make the CODEGRIP Suite window x 3 more large, and also the font size x 3 more large ?
Thanks in advance for your help

Hi,
If you try to change the DPI settings, do you have some improvements ?
Also try changing the scaling factor in the Scaling and Layout dropdown menu.
Regards,
Filip.

Re: The window of CODEGRIP Suite is too small
I do not manage to understand your answer :
In fact you have to know that CODEGRIP is not the only application I'm using.
So my question is : how is it possible to modify the rendering of the CODEGRIP window in a WINDOW10, without modifying the other windows ?
in attachment :
Image1.png it is possible to see CODEGRIP window (on my screen)
Image2.png it is possible to see CODEGRIP in front of the MikroProgSuite window (on the screen of my laptop)
my conclusion : CODEGRIP do not work on 4K screens

Re: The window of CODEGRIP Suite is too small
I'm running windows 10 ver. 20H2(Build 19042.746) on a 4K screen and Codegrip 1.3.1 will not expand to full view. All I see is the left panel with the menu. No way to select anything. I can't program my EasyPIC Pro 8 because I can't see the screen to connect to the EasyPIC Pro 8. CCODEGRIP ver. 1.3.1 doesn't work with 4k but it does works on windows 7. NectoStudio 1.4.1 works on both ver. of windows and with the 4k screen. Maybe the next update will work.

Re: The window of CODEGRIP Suite is too small
I have a similar problem win10 4k screen and it appears from the thread this was not solved !
The codegrip screen suddenly resizes for no apparent reason and shows only a fraction of the codegrip window, it can not resized once it has done this.
Restart windows or codegrip and the codegrip window is still unusable.
This is making the whole platform useless.

Same issue here with Win10 and 4k screen. This is my first experience with Mikroe products. Makes it impossible to use Codegrip with my new EasyPic v8. :O(

Hi,
@CrossEyedMary and @stevekodos,
Which version of CODEGRIP Suite are you using ?
Can you please attach a screenshot of the CODEGRIP Suite in parallel with some default Windows application, like Explorer ?
Do you use any scaling or magnification settings ?
Regards,
Filip.

Re: The window of CODEGRIP Suite is too small
Same issue as stevekodos... codegrip v.1.3.1 on win10 pro at 150% scale, 3840 x 2160 screen resolution shows only ~1/2 width of codegrip window, only work-around is to reduce display res. down, but this is not an acceptable solution as it decimates my desktop layout on return to high res.

Re: The window of CODEGRIP Suite is too small
Hi Filip,
Good call!
My 4k monitor is set to 200% magnification. When I set it to 100% the Codegrip GUI works properly. (right click on desktop - choose display settings - make sure scale and layout is set at 100%)
The problem with the GUI occurs when magnification is changed from 100%.
Would love to have that added to the next update as my eyesight is not what it used to be :O)
Thanks!

As previously said, good call, mag factor only works on 100% but I defy anyone to see it yet alone use it at this magnification
Conclusion: At present codegrip is unusable on hi res monitors.

Seconded, As previously said, good call, mag factor only works on 100% but I defy anyone to see it yet alone use it at this magnification
Yes we can set resolution down but it messes up so many other apps and layouts.
Conclusion: At present codegrip is unusable on hi res monitors.

Re: The window of CODEGRIP Suite is too small
I found a solution to lauch CODEGRIP 1.4.0 :
Step 1 : install CODEGRIP with role of an administrator.
Step 2 : modify CODEGRIP Suite shorcut to execute with the role of an administrator.
Step 3 : modify CODEGRIP Suite shorcut to to add an option to the PPP settings for this application (see harcopy of my screen in attachment).
