USB dongle & Linux

#1 Post by icastillo » 16 Feb 2017 14:24

I would like to use the MikroC for dsPIC woking under linux with wine. I tried the version 7.0.0 and works perfectly (Ubuntu 16.10), the only problem is that is unusable because the USB license dongle is not recognized.

I saw in forums that Mikrolektronika plans a Linux version from 2008, but it never comes. There are at least the possibility to activate the License under Linux?

Hi,

You should be able to use the dongle license on Linux, using some kind of virtual machine,
for example VirtualBox.

Also, for adding support for Linux, you can vote here:

Kind regards,
