Hello,

I think we will have a beta version this year.

I wait now for Alpha version and I will do my best to become this version in Beta...
Best regards, Florin Andrei Medrea.

Could the P33FJ128GP804.dbas be made available prior to
the release of the PRO compiler?

I currently use P33FJ128GP710 as substitute as it gives me
the 16kB ram space. I noticed the LvPICflash driver does
already support the P33FJ128GP804.

regards peter

Hi,
.mlk and .dbas definition files will be different in PRO version, and therefore they cannot be used in previous mikroBasic. dsPIC33FJ128GP804 will be suported in the PRO version, but I beg for a little more patience.

but I beg for a little more patience.
Hi Aleksandar,

Will you understand us, really seems all the other project have a priority bigger than the dsPIC.

See the AVR PRO compiler released in 2.1 version let me really frustrated.
Cheers

This leave me also frustrated more than 14 months I wait for some bug fixes and and update ,
as said before mE is trying to support to many platforms ,I aggree the dsPIC has no priority in the Platforms they support

be aware that development of these compilers has become a rather coherent process, the moment the dsPIC Pro will be available it will most likely contain all benefits from the other devellopments. It is obvious also that 8bit microcontrollers are most popular and in fact i very much appreciate ME taking the trouble of developping and supprting dsPIC at all, how many are we after all to use these chips.
Please show some patience, i am convinced we will be very happy once this compiler gets out. Stressing developpers at this point we not be of any help.

There are many people using dsPIC just as the 8 Bit controllers
just take a look at the Microchip web and you will notice how many people uses the dsPIC 30/33 with the MC C30 Compiler
the dsPIC is just as important as any other MC 8 bit or AVR controllers why is the priority not for the dsPIC compiler on the same level as for the others

Hi Erasmus,
For me also is another point. The 8 bit generation are the past. and in any case 16 and 32 bit are the future. Gain now a good market on dsPIC compilers mean have a granted future.
Than, over my personal frustration, this I think is the mean reason to develop in this way.

IMHO of course

Hi Florin

Please update us a bit!! Did you receive the alpha verion of dsPIC Pro
I need to start an new application very soon and I do not want to start with the old compiler
as when Pro is released there will be compatibility problems and then I have to change my application code to suite Pro again ,
if this is going to take longer than January than ,
I will be forced to use C30 again

Regards
Peter

Hi Peter,

In the mkroC for dsPIC30/33 and PIC24 Forum, there was this quote from mikroE : http://www.mikroe.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=22611

So if the 16bit compilers are released together your holidays may be ok :).
