problem using Pasband and high pass

#1 Post by giulianori » 18 Jul 2009 23:38

I am testing Lowpass FIR filter and all is working well , also with a very high # of taos .( but, I find that it is necessary the correct value of Buffer-size ie: 256 for 200 taps ).
instead I have problem for Bandpass and Highpass: I haven't any output when I set this filters type.
Any help?
thanks
Giuliano

Dear friend.
I had the same problem with highpass IIR filters. i thouth may be the high pass filter which i designed is unstable. i reduced the filter order to 1 and then its working. i had another problem, when i want to design a high pass filter with the FILTER DESIGN TOOLS of mikro basic, i noticed that by changing the cut-off frequency of the filter, the coefficients will not changes.

Hi!

If you think that there is a bug in the Filter design tool, please, create a minimal project that depicts the issue you're talking about.
We' ll be happy to inspect it.
