Ask about DS1302

#1 Post by KAKU » 26 Oct 2021 04:56

Hello, a question about DS1302 RTC.
I recently used DS1302 for timing and discovered that while the power is on, the battery is not on and DS1302 does not count.
Furthermore, in the event of a power outage, the button battery's input current in the ds1302's 8-pin VCC1 reached 260uA. The battery was discovered to be dead a few days after the board was installed. What's going on? kkkk.
The circuit I referred to here:https://www.maximintegrated.com/en/site ... =relevancy
And for more detailed info I find in this article which is from utmel: https://www.utmel.com/components/ds1302 ... uit?id=331
Thanks in advance.

ALL THE BEST!

Hello
can you show your circuit?
The batterie should be an akku, what kind of batterie do you use?
And whats about the CE-Pin? Is that pin really inactive, when you do not power the DS1302?

Hello!
Firstly, thanks for ur quick reply.
Yes, I used AKKU.
At the first time, the CE-pin is not inactive exactly.
But recently, I find some videos on Youtube and try again and again.
I got it, I think.
Anyway, thank you!
KA.
