FT90x EVEKeys determine key pressed mikromedia HMI 5

Trying to make a keyboard and found that too many EVE Buttons causes issues.
So I am trying to use EVEKeys. I have hunted for info on this, only to find an old post which refers to EVEclick (I believe) and an example was posted my MikroE.
This example refers to a function, FT800_Touch_GetTag(&tag) which appears to be related to the EVE lib.

I have debuted and watched tag for the EVEkey and it is always 255, no matter where we tough.


So for the FT900 mikromedia HMI, how do we use EVEKeys?
