Persistant Find Dialog

I would like the "find" dialog to be persistent, at least on Windows.
Explanation:
While examining code, I often look for text in the same file -- Edit>Find, or ctrl-F. Enter the search-for text, then click "OK". This works fine ... except that the dialog disappears. To search for the same text again, I need to bring up the dialog again, or press F3.
This is not a big problem, but it is unexpected - the "find" dialog in Windows apps is typically persistant. This is true of Notepad, wordpad, notepad++, and Word. (I don't know if this is an official Windows convention, but I am unable to find a counter-example.) A small inconvenience, but losing the dialog when clicking OK startles me every time.
(I do like having the forward/backward radio buttons and the other options in the dialog!)
