USB Virtual Com Port and Mini-M4

#1 Post by alexm37 » 11 Apr 2022 09:36

Hi,

I have used the CDC Library for the virtual com port in the past with a STM32F107 and never had any problems. Now I would like to use it with a STM32F415 (Mikroe Mini-M4 Board). However, I can't get a COM Port. Windows device manager just says "unknown USB device, device description not recognized"

I have already also tried just the original library example for the VCP (working on STM32F107!). However, I have the same problem if I try this example on the mini-M4 board. For the oscillator settings I have used "STM32F415RG_HSE_PLL_16_MHz..." and I have changed the Q-divider to 7 to get a 48 MHz USB clock.

Any ideas why the VCP will not work on Mini-M4?

thanks, alex
