Integrate ConnectEVE w/IAR Embedded Workbench?

#1 Post by mtanner » 16 Aug 2013 21:53

We have an existing product with firmware written using the IAR Embedded Workbench environment. We were hoping to upgrade the existing SPI-bus LCD module in our product with your new ConnectEVE. Is there any documentation about the SPI commands that you can make available? I've discovered your FT8000 library, but it only seems to exist in EMCL format, which I cannot drop into my existing project. It will not be possible for us to port our existing code base to your compiler environment. Is there any way for me to use the ConnectEVE in our product?

Thanks!

Hi,

The MikroElektronika is an FTDI's third-party development partner that has developed the FT800 library and FT800 based hardware,
and as such the company's policy not to reveal source codes for any of the compiler's library is applied to the FT800 library also.

The exact programming data/specification for FT800 can only be given by the FT800 chip designers, i.e. the FTDI company.

I can only direct you to the preliminary datasheet from the February that is readily available on the Internet :

Thank you for the understanding.

Regards,
Filip.

STemWin (a licensed Segger product) is a professional graphical stack library enabling the building up of Graphical User Interfaces (GUIs) that will do everything a ConnectEve can and more. If you use it on a ST (or NXP) ARM-CortexM0/1/2/3/4 MCU it is free. It is available for IAR, Keil and other dev platforms.

It works with almost all common LCD controllers such as:
Epson S1D19122
FocalTech FT1509
Himax HX8301, HX8340, HX8347, HX8352, HX8353, HX8325A
Hitachi HD66772
