Serious USART terminal bug

#1 Post by LGR » 25 Jan 2012 18:28

I was trying to use the USART terminal with a test program. When the LV32MX started sending unprintable characters, I turned the board off, and it kept receiving characters! I couldn't disconnect; I had to close the terminal and then wait.

I don't have this problem with the terminal program 'termite'. Only USART tool. Maybe the buffer is way too large. I don't want a buffer at all when I'm trying to debug code, because this can happen (if that's the problem). I suspect that something else is amiss.
