Addresses in Statistics

#1 Post by janni » 07 Feb 2011 02:25

First, great job guys! I didn't expext the beta so soon and in such a good shape :) .

As I had my first look ove the IDE features, I noticed that 'Functions Sorted By Address Chart' requires a new approach with such a large addressing space the PIC32s have. Besides the addresses from 0x80000000 being treated as negative, linear display of program memory space seems impractical. At least some fragmentation of the chart seems necessary.

BTW, also RAM addresses starting from 0x80000000 are treated as negative and precede addres 0 in 'Variables Sorted By Address'.

Thanks Janny,

Yes, you are wright about statistics. It would be corrected and updated with release.
