ICD suggestions

1. Allow live variable modifications.
Possible way of doing it.
When The ICD detects an Enter key press after a variable has been altered, it could pause ,send the data then resume.
2. Allow an optional live variable refresh in watched values.
Possible way of doing it.
Have a button that when enabled the ICD automatically pauses at a given rate to fetch and refresh the variables.
This will clearly slow the execution of instructions on the PIC as it will be interrupted on regular bases but this is why I suggest this as an option by enabling this function.
Also more of a question I suppose. Whilst using the ICD it often jumps to the ASM list rather than showing its progress in basic. Is there a way to disable this?
Forum suggestion.
Have an aria to cover the ICD as I suspect the ICD works the same in all IDEs
Or even better have:-
IDE section which covers IDE in general
ICD section which covers ICD in general
Sections for each Compiler as already instated.
Ect……

For example this is a suggestion for the ICD in general (for all compiler version) but have to post it mikroBasic PRO for PIC32 Wish List

Hi,
Thanks for the suggestions, we will consider it all- very useful.

Once you enter the ASM, press ALT + D, it should return you back to the source code, if available.
At the moment that is a workaround.
