I2S Support

The compiler and development boards for the PIC32 family is completely missing I2S library support, e.g. PIC32MX470F512H family. Please could you give your products a 5 Star rating by not limiting the family of devices supported. Kind regards, Phil

Thanks, Filip

I have already voted for this improvement, If you are going to support Microchip PIC's why don't you fully support them instead of only partially. Unfortunately I got dragged into the marketing hype of purchasing a compiler from Mikroelektronica instead of Microchip believing that you would be supporting the full range of peripherals only to find that your compiler unlike the microchip one is totally useless for many projects. It feels like buying a car without a steering wheel because the manufacturer hasn't got around to supporting a method of directional control.

Phil

Hi,

I am sorry if you feel this way.

The fact is that the most internal modules are supported by the compiler, you can see the list in the compiler when you download the free demo version.
The things that are not supported are on our wishlist, and upon the user votes we are implementing them according to this.

Thank you for the understanding.

Regards,
Filip.

Hi filip,

Thanks for the reply and thanking me for my understanding.

Unfortunately my understanding of your product range is that you don't provide compilers that offer complete peripheral support for each microcontroller family this has a detrimental affect which severally limits their usefulness.

Also I find it a bad joke that customers are asked to vote for peripheral support which should be included as standard, after all what good is an incomplete development tool?

It would seem that your non-technically minded accountants who obviously run your company believe that there is more profit making click boards than providing complete compiler support, perhaps they should realise that providing full peripheral support would actually improve functionality, increase the range of click boards that you could provide and give MikroElektronica a 5 star rating.

Regards,
Phil
