MikroC PRO for PIC32 4.0.0 : cannot add custom controller

#1 Post by tixmcprods » 02 Nov 2017 10:54

Hello,

Since VTFT as merged into MikroC PRO for PIC32 4.0.0, I tried to add SSD1289 as copy of SSD1963 (16 bit) in Display_Controller.xml, but wizard doesn't show it !!!
I was able to add and was really well working with VTFT 4.6 as standalone. Tried with already existing custom board defs (that was working) and from scratch, but nothing work...

I have another problem with Project settings that is not saving my changes but perhaps it's linked to this.

Please help !!!

Thanks a lot.

Best regards.

Hi,

Create a empty Visual TFT project from the standalone Visual TFT.
Open mikroC pro for PIC32 and click on Project>Import VTFT Project.
Browse to where you have saved your project. You need to look for a file with this extension .vtft for example:
yourStandaloneProject.vtft

Select it and click on the Open button.
Next click on import project. In a couple of seconds your project will be converted and imported.
If you had a custom Visual TFT scheme it will also be imported and saved for future use.

I hope this will be helpful.

Best Regards,

Hello,

Hum that's OK for import, BUT the TFT controller is not recognized (SSD1289) and it'll not compile !
In VTFT project settings, the combobox for controller is empty and resolution is inverted (320x240 instead of 240x320).

Just to take into account edited Display_Controllers.xml, please ! :)

Thanks !

Hi,

Can you send me your standalone visual tft project so i can try to import it and to try to reproduce the same behavior ?
This inversion of the resolution should not happen.

Hello,

It's not complicated to reproduce.
Create a project with standalone VTFT 4.6.1 using edited "Controllers.xml" file joined (in ZIP), with SSD1289 controller. It's possible.
With integrated VTFT, the SSD1289 controller disappear with edited "Display_Controllers.xml" file joined (in ZIP) when creating new pattern, even if it's inside !

That's all.

I join also the board def working with standalone version, not working with integrated (named "Domotique_Carte_Piece").

Thanks a lot !

Best regards.

Hi
I am having same problem, did you managed to integrate it?
I have a product with ILI9341 and by a mistake, seller sent me a lot of SSD1289 so I want to use them up. I am playing all day to integrate SSD1289 and I did manually, it does compile, but still I have a feeling that it doesnt work wit a VisualTFT (integrated part of mikroC PIC32)
Any ideas before starting to dig in with a logic analyzer?
Thanks!
