New Product Registration!!!!!!!

Hi - I have a new copy of the compiler (DVD and licence key card). I understand the licence activation has changed recently and also that there is now a new version available. Should I go through the installation of the old version using the key or skip this and download the new version and figure out the new registration process? Just want to take the path of least resistance.....
