auto osc speed calculation

#1 Post by arhimed » 08 Jun 2008 14:25

AFAIK the OSC speed that we need to setup in project properties is used by internal mikroC libraries (especially Delay_* and software* functions). Now, with all internal osc capabilities and PLL to multiply internal/external osc, it would be *very helpful* if we are to enter only value for external osc, and then the IDE can recalculate the real speed according to fuses set.

or if there is a possibility that mikroe team can make something similar to "Visual Initialiser" that comes with mplab .. at least for setting up some main config bit's like oscillator freq?
