Cant enter DEBUG mode with MPLAB ICD2!

I have an LV24-33V6 board and im trying to use MPLAB for debugging but i get an error, ICD0083: Debug: Unable to enter debug mode. I can program it in release mode just fine, but it wont let me debug. Any help will be appreciated.

Try to change the EMUD setting in the configuration bits.

I changed to EMUD1 and know i can debug., thanks!
