Hi
I am in South Africa and have done some development of an SNMP agent on the EAsyPIC Fusion V7 dev board using the PIC32MX795F512L CPU. All has gone well and my ethernet sofware is working well on the EPF. We have made up out own pcb using the LAN8720A chip used on the EPF dev board. unfortunately we could not find any LPJ0026GENL Ethernet connectors locally so we settled for a device from HALO. This unfortunately does not work and we would really like to get the same Ethernet connector that Mikroelectronika uses.
I have seen a previous post on the subject where it was said that the connector can be sourced just about anywhere.
As I have said we have tried everywhere we can think of locally and internationally such as RS Electronics, Mouser, Digikey, Link-PP themselves who don't seem to list their own device! as well as many others.
We can not find it antwhere! We would be prepared to ship it in internationally if needs be.
Please can someone at Mikroelectronika tell me where in the world I can source these connectors from!
I will be most appreciative
Regards
Nealet

Hello,
I have answered to your distributor from South Africa.
I believe they had already informed you about it.
Kind regards,
Biljana

Re: Sourcing the Ethernet Connector LPJ0026GENL
Hi everyboby,
I also have trouble trying to buy the LPJ0026GENL RJ45 connector with integrated magnetics because none of the major suppliers of electronic parts sell it. However, if you are interested, I have found alternative equivalents for which I attach the related technical documentation and also that of the LPJ0026GENL to make a comparison. As you an see, there are models with the same circuit configuration and RX/TX turns ratio with also a wide choice of auxiliary configurations (LEDs fitting and colour, EMI fingers, etc...) This applies to www.abracon.com while surely there is something similar made by other manufacturers like Amphenol, TE Connectivity, Molex, etc... I have found Abracon connectors in stock at www.mouser.com, www.digikey.com and all other main suppliers of electronic parts. If choosing a model with the same magnetic circuit and turns ratio as the LPJ0026GENL, in theory should work exactly the same way.
Kind Regards
