Mikromedia work station 7

Bought this for easier integration of external interfaces, one problem that triggers me is the USB interface. Using the compiler's prog feature thsi will ruin the built in bootloader and consequently the USB connection which I use for HID-communication. This is a big drawback for development, and you should find a solution where this USB communication could co-exist with the programmer.

Hi,

I'm not sure that I understand you correctly.

The bootloader is just a program (HEX file) that is programmed using the programmer, of course it will be erased if you program another HEX file.
