Shiftin/Shiftout - advanced Software SPI- needed

In the V4.60 The software SPI have only 8 BIT data type, I would like to have 16 bit option, most of the chip now require 16 bit communication.
Similar compiler have already this function, a real advantage for us/you to have it in the future. Positive/negative clock edge, LSB, MSB...I think you know what I mean.

have you looked spi_init_advanced statment?

It is available for HW SPI only.
