Manchester code with Mikrobasic and 2 Pics

#1 Post by David777 » 04 Nov 2014 19:03

Hi All
I'm using two 16F886 Pics and have used the example code with slight modifications but cannot get the data across from one pic to the other using two cheap 433MHZ modules. Im using 8 Mhz crystals i have check the frequency with a scope and the delays are spot on so the crystal setup seems ok. The trouble i'm having is that the receiver is getting noise and the only way to stop the noise is to give the transmitter a 50/50 duty cycle of 50ms and no slower or noise comes back and because the Manchester code is slower im getting noise and so no good data.
PLease can someone give me some advice as to what's the best method to transmit and receive using these cheap modules.
I have checked the forum but had no luck :-(
I'm trying to send a sigal to turn a light On or Off but may later want to use these devices to receive from a remote temp sensor.
Thanks in advance

David
