P33FJ128MC204 configuration

#1 Post by jpc » 13 Jul 2011 10:56

i already found some problem before with this chip (http://www.mikroe.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=107&t=33884) , this time another which kept me busy for some hours :
in order to get the PWMPIN set right ( according to datasheet we should have this bit set to disable the control of all realted pins by the motor control pwm module) we must ENABLE the ' Motor Control PWM Module Pin Mode ' in the project editor, this does not sound logic to me.
As result i did not get any output on these pins when configured as simple outputs, PPS mapping however seems to override that configuration again, very confusing altogether.

seems to be a never-ending story with this chip, this time it is the configuration of the OSC2 pin that is inverted, in order to use this pin as RA3 input i must set the OSC2 Pin Configuration to ' OSC2 functions as CLKO ' !
Please ME have a thorough check of this configuration, each bit consumes a lot of time and only as i have found so many already i tested the obviously wrong setting after having checked all hardware.
