In ver. 7.1 every time MP is opened, the Libstock manager shows up as default, with lots of information cluttering the view, mostly click board images, and which could be even suspected to be intended as click board advertisement which a number of users would have no interest in (not all of us have development boards that support them). It is illogical that a project should primarily show Libstock manager as default. What is important to a project is to be able to check that the correct libraries have been ticked on and are installed. Only then if a library is missing would one want to open the libstock manager tab to search for and possibly add new packages. (Another forum also mentioned problems if Libstock manager did not find a network connection, I do see a pretty slow load of MP now, which could be when it is searching libstock for all that information).
So, is there a way to make the library manager default?

Hello,
Yes, you can change the default settings. At the top of the screen, there are options for changing layouts. Normally, the Default layout is selected by default.
Click on the Library Manager so its tab is active, and rename Default layout to, say, Default1, save it and then set it active. Now close the compiler, and start it up again, that layout will be selected and Library manager will be opened rather than Libstock manager.
If you want you could go to the Layout folder in the compiler(Documents\Mikroelektronika\mikroBasic PRO for dsPIC\Layouts), delete the Default layout and change the name of Default1 to Default.
Best regards,
