Well, I upgraded my MacBook Pro to this year's model, and now PicFlash just hangs whenever it tries to communicate with the programmer (under Parallels).

Looks like I will have to switch to VirtualBox?

I'm using Windows 7, on a MacBook Pro 3,1 with PicFlash 2 and EasyPic 4. Programming works sometimes - but other times it takes several tries.

OK, I did a restore from backup and everything is working OK now. Sorry again for the false alarm.

I suspect that there is something wrong with my Windows 7 installation. One or two other programs have also started behaving badly. I'll try to fix / restore it, then let you know if I am still having issues. Sorry for perhaps raising a false alarm.

A further point: after installing 3.80, it does not have the ME icon, just a generic icon. Perhaps the installer is doing something wrong?

Hmm. Removing 3.8 and reinstalling 3.5 doesn't work either now. Program launches, reads device data, hangs for a while, then quits, same as 3.8.

It IS running in compatibility mode. (XP SP3 to be precise).

I think it is a problem with the settings file. If I remove it, the program fires up further, and I can load a project before it crashes..

And in the meantime, how can I download version 3.5 again so I can have a working system? There are no links I can find to earlier versions!

After removing the previous version, and installing v3.80, I cant get Mikrobasic Pro to run (on Windows 7 64 bit). On firing it uo, it shows a splash screen, then a progress bar reading various libraries for devices (/), then nothing for a while, then quits.

Any suggestions?

With the latest Parallels, and the latest MacOS X, I'm finding programming is not reliable. Sometimes I get errors, but after 3 or 4 goes, I find it finally works.
